Who We Are

SVA-B.R.A.V.O. formerly known as B.R.A.V.O. (Blue Raiders American Veteran Organization) is MTSU’s chapter of the national organization Student Veterans of America and works to coordinate with veterans’ groups from around the region.

Mission: Provide community, mentorship, and networking opportunities to MTSU’s nearly 1,000 student veterans and military connected students

Vision: Help veteran and military connected students find, develop, and maintain personal connections and a sense of purpose that is often lost after leaving the service.

This is a group for veterans and supporters of the military community and is open current students.

Alumni are welcome to join us by becoming part of the SVA-BRAVO Alumni board to help continue the mission of SVA-BRAVO.

Why Should I Join?

Dr. Severn, SVA-B.R.A.V.O.’s Faculty advisor, at the 2023 Veteran’s Day ceremony spoke about stories of service, and how the loss of a student veteran at MTSU led to him becoming the Faculty advisor to SVA-B.R.A.V.O. and the organization’s importance to the student veteran community on campus.”If you’re a student veteran and you’re not in BRAVO, join BRAVO.If you’re in BRAVO, keep participating” Click here for the full video
